Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl with long, curly brown hair. She was not your typical girl. She was the type who based her life on things above. She was simple, athletic, and also beautiful. One day she had a girls' weightlifting meet in the next town above hers. As she walked into the guys football locker room, which was the designated area to change and weigh in for the meet, she came across one of the lockers that stood out from all the others. This locker had scripture on it, goals listed, and a name. One of the other girls asked, "What does that scripture mean?" As this beautiful, brown haired girl pulled out her Bible, she then explained what the scripture meant. Later on this beautiful girl sent a facebook message to the guy with the locker. The girl told the guy, "Thanks for opening up a witnessing opportunity so that I could share scripture with some teammates". The guy thought, "Could there really be someone out there that is like me?"
Soon after they started messaging back and forth more often. Then they shared special times at soccer and softball games, they shared daily scripture, and talked about how they were falling in love. They visited the girl's Pop at the hospital and the guy even gave Pop a special letter that only he got to read. Not long after that they shared some emotional times with Pop's death, but they both knew where Pop was. He was in Heaven now watching over them.
Then it was time for Prom. A beautiful girl and a handsome guy headed out for a wonderful evening! The beautiful girl ended up to be Prom Queen and the guy was so proud of her! Later on that evening, which was the most special part, they ended up with a special dance far away from the dance floor. This dance was to the song "Love Like Crazy"!
They called them crazy when they started out
Said seventeen's too young to know what loves about....Yes, and both the beautiful girl and the handsome guy are seventeen!
Just ask him how he did it; he'll say pull up a seat
It'll only take a minute, to tell you everything...
The beautiful girl loved this line, "It'll only take a minute" because it reminded her of what her Pop said.
Be a best friend, tell the truth, and overuse I Love You
Go to work, do your best, don't outsmart your common sense
Never let your prayin' knees get lazy
And love like crazy
Just ask him how he made it
He'll tell you faith and sweat
And the heart of a faithful woman,
Who never let him forget...
This is one of those stories that is actually a true story. I pray daily for both of them as they continue to walk with Christ and live out their dreams.
